  • PBIS-SCP Canada is a national network dedicated to the advancement of positive behaviour support in both of Canada's official languages, English and French. PBIS-SCP Canada consists of researchers, university professors, provincial Ministry of Education representatives, educators, and administrators who are committed to the application of PBIS-SCP within Canadian school systems.   • PBIS-SCP Canada aims to provide basic information and technical assistance to encourage implementation of PBIS-SCP in Canada.   • The purpose of this network is to work collaboratively with Association for Positive Behavior Support (APBS) members and others to promote research, training, and networking related to positive behavior support to assist individuals of all ages in home and community settings, (including intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health diagnoses, and seniors who require memory care and other related services) across the lifespan. We work to increase membership, stimulate new ideas, and generally expand the stakeholder group participation as it relates to issues such as transition from schools to adult services and systems, issues related to aging and disability, family experiences supporting individuals with disabilities across the lifespan, trauma- informed care, and supported employment and living.

Minnesota Positive Behavior Support Network (MNPBS)

  • The purpose of the Minnesota Positive Behavior Support Network is to bring leaders in positive behavior support from across the state together to collaborate and encourage interagency collaboration. A unifying element of the network is the state agency leadership from the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) and the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS). Professionals representing MDE and DHS, the Minnesota State University Mankato, St. Cloud State University, the University of Minnesota, and University of St. Thomas will work together to gather and share information about implementation efforts and technical assistance resources. Efforts to encourage interagency collaboration and reach out to local organizations and associations that may want to participate in the network. This network will also work with APBS to prepare for an upcoming APBS Conference in Minnesota (2021) and help the community understand what APBS does and why it is important.

  • The mission of MO SW-PBS is to empower schools and districts to establish and sustain positive and effective environments, where a research-based, multi-tiered behavioral framework is implemented with fidelity and equity for all students. MO SW-PBS collaborates with the national PBIS center, state and local agencies and various organizations to build capacity for all stakeholders.
  • The network supports regional consultants, district/school coaches, educators, families and communities to understand and utilize PBS for the growth and success of all children in Missouri. Our purpose is actualized through the training and technical support provided at the state level, as well as through regional centers located throughout the state. SWPBS Nederland

  • In the past years, many Dutch professionals in the field of education have shared a drive and passion to build positive school-climates for Dutch children, teachers & parents. SWPBS has given each separate organization involved important tools, necessary to work toward achieving this. In order to strengthen the foundations of SWPBS in the Netherlands, we are now joining forces and finding ways to work together efficiently, in order to achieve a variety of goals. Our Dutch SWPBS network gives us the opportunity to continuously take SWPBS in the Netherlands to a next level. Even though there is no funding, working together is enabling us to improve and monitor the quality of implementation of SWPBS in the Netherlands and to translate state of the art knowledge to daily practice at a greater scale and with more ease.

Nevada Association for Positive Behavior Support Network

  • The purpose of the Nevada APBS Network is to extend the awareness of PBS in Nevada, with the ultimate purpose being to enhance the quality of life of Nevadans with disabilities and challenging behavior through directed, evidence based instruction, consultation and systematic change. Our goal is to build the capacity of families, schools and community agencies to provide sustainable, meaningful behavior support. NV-APBS network facilities the development of new partnerships with school districts, community agencies and other stakeholders.
  • The primary purpose for establishing an APBS Network in Nevada is: (1) to give recognition and identity to the many collaborating individuals, professionals and organizations in the state that are currently engaged in activities related to positive behavior support and (2) to strengthen our efforts to encourage the adoption and implementation of PBS approaches in additional venues that could benefit from it.
  • The PBS-Nevada project has been supporting the state for the past 14 years and hopes to expand partnerships and resources to further support the community by developing an APBS-affiliated Nevada network.

  • The purpose of New Jersey Positive Behavior Support in Schools (NJ PBSIS) is to build capacity among school personnel to implement a multi-tiered system of behavior intervention that results in the use of:
    • core prevention practices for all students and staff aimed at minimizing conduct issues and maximizing pro-social behaviors;
    • an array of positive and proactive 'Try First' strategies to address emerging behavior and conduct issues in the classroom
    • a problem-solving intervention process for intervening early with students demonstrating repeated behaviors; and
    • an intensive process for developing function-based interventions for students with the most significant behavior issues.

  • Virginia PBS network is composed of endorsed PBS Facilitators across Virginia. The network holds two Facilitator Forums annually for endorsed PBS Facilitators and provides ongoing professional development opportunities. We have quarterly meetings of the VA Board for PBS to develop guidance materials and make decisions with input from the network.

West Virginia Association for Positive Behavior Support

  • WV has a long history in the field of PBS. The WVAPBS was established in 2003 and evolved from the state training team created in 1991. In 2011 the WVAPBS became a on profit organization. Currently the full network membership meets semiannually and the leadership team meets monthly. Our overarching goal is to spread the concepts of PBS across all service arenas in order to promote quality of life for all people involved in systems. Our past focus has been primarily in the I/DD Waiver community and early childhood services. We are expanding to offer endorsement to professionals in the mental health field and other areas.
