Training and Education Committee (TEC)
Description of Committee
The Training & Education Committee (TEC) is charged with creating, curating, and facilitating the delivery of content to support effective implementation of positive behavior support. The primary activities of the TEC include: planning for and hosting the annual APBS conference, providing APBS webinars, and facilitating the various awards given by APBS (E.G. Carr Memorial Awards, APBS Leadership Awards, and Student Awards).

Sample of work occurring and resources
Year round, the members of the TEC are involved with organizing APBS’ annual conference. Facilitating the process to offer and provide continuing education units for Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and School Psychologists through NASP are ongoing endeavors to support our conference attendees with ongoing professional development requirements. APBS Members can support the various conference-related efforts directly by joining the TEC, or by serving as proposal reviewers after the call for papers closes each September. Another opportunity to become involved (regardless of APBS member-status) is to volunteer at the on-site conference each year! Each year, the TEC hosts webinars relevant to the broad range of implementation efforts across the field of positive behavior support. Webinar access is a FREE benefit for APBS members. The TEC meets twice a month; recurring on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays at 11AM Eastern Time (United States).
