Mental Health and Positive Behavior Support Ad Hoc Committee
The goal of the committee is to build deeper connections to mental health by sharing resources and organizing facilitated exploratory conversations with our members. APBS is interested in increasing the diversity and number of practitioners working in mental health and related fields.
Public Awareness & Dissemination (PAD)
The Public Awareness and Dissemination (PAD) Committee is tasked with sharing information with the public and APBS members. The primary outlets include APBS.org, social media accounts
Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities (IDD) Ad Hoc Committee
The goal of the IDD Ad Hoc Committee is to increase new APBS members who represent practitioners and family members supporting children and adults with IDD across the lifespan
Training & Education Committee (TEC)
The Training & Education Committee (TEC) is charged with creating, curating, and facilitating the delivery of content to support effective implementation of positive behavior support. The primary activities of the TEC include: planning for and hosting the annual APBS conference, providing APBS webinars, and facilitating the various awards given by APBS (E.G. Carr Memorial Awards, APBS Leadership Awards, and Student Awards).
